Hybrid Insecta
Organ-like 3D sturcture mimics licyclcle of insects
"Hybrid Insecta" operates through a technically sophisticated system hidden within its structure. At the top section of the sculpture, two peristaltic pumps are concealed. These pumps control the flow of liquid through three visible tubes that weave around the organ-like structure, creating a dynamic visual effect. The sculpture features a reservoir located beneath the organ-like structure, which holds two types of liquid: a layer of mineral oil on top and a layer of red-dyed water at the bottom. The peristaltic pumps draw these two liquids separately from the reservoir, each creating a distinct flow within the tubing system.

Project Goal
This not only generates a dynamic visual effect but also symbolizes the incessant change and adaptation inherent in insect life cycles. Through this exploration, "Hybrid Insecta" aims to create a dialogue between art, technology, and biology, inviting viewers to contemplate the wonder and complexity of the natural world.
